The 1964 Impala, parked in a neighborhood in Stanwood, Wash., has a story. A good story. Jeff, the 30-something owner, rode to school in this vintage Chevy from seventh through 12th grade with a classmate named Jennifer. Her mother Tammy was the original owner and driver. Jennifer took ownership as a teen, and years later gave it to Jeff. "We're good friends," Jeff says of Jennifer. "She's like a sister." He plans to restore the car and keep it in the family despite repeated inquiries from buyers. "Some day it's going back to Jennifer or passed on to my godson Joe, Jennifer's son," Jeff says. "These cars, you can't get them anymore, can't find them. They are expensive."
