The high desert in north central Washington is my favorite photography location in the state. It's only a 40-minute drive from my home in East Wenatchee. I'm able to visit the agricultural region frequently spring through fall. The cabin above was built in the late 1800s. I'm surprised it's still standing. As I was leaving that location a deer darted in front of my Honda CR-V and disappeared over a hill. I found the old gas pump, left, in Mansfield. The pump on the right is on a farm near Waterville to the west. The old house below is east of here.
