Some wheat farms on the Waterville Plateau in north-central Washington have not aged well. Like the ranch house above. But the fields around it are thriving. A family let me photograph the old gas pump on their farm property. A plaque on the side says it was made in Los Angeles. The pump is retired but I'm glad it is still around. I found the tractor on farm property north of Waterville. One of the ranch owners, a woman, gave me the OK to take pictures. I asked about the tractor chains. They're needed to drive in snow on the property.
