Farm land on the high desert in north-central Washington is frozen in time. I have no idea how old these farms are but I'll say what's obvious: they are very old. The farmhouse above is located just outside Waterville off U.S. Route 2. In its prime this ranch must have been a gem. I am surprised it's still around. I found it in the middle of a large working wheat field.
The windmill is east of here off U.S. 2. Some time in the last year or so the blades fell off. The cabin below was built in the late 1800s.
