If the shot below looks familiar, it should. The Roslyn Cafe appeared in the opening credits of the CBS television series Northern Exposure in the 1990s. The scene included a moose strolling past the cafe. I didn't follow the series but I do remember the moose. CBS picked Roslyn, Wash., a former coal mining town, to film exterior shots for the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska. The truck above allegedly appeared in the series too. Residents served as extras in the series; a few played small roles.
