The apple industry is thriving in north-central Washington. The city of Wenatchee calls itself the apple capital of the world. But this industry also is showing its age. Like the retired farm tractor at the Stutzman Fruit Ranch. The family purchased the farm in 1907 and bought the tractor after World War II. It was used until the late 1960s but the owner said he got it to run recently. The pump is next to an apple orchard. The wagon points to a house up a gravel road.
