Sunsets are spectacular on Puget Sound, an inlet that stretches 100 miles in western Washington. I was lucky to salvage the shot above in Mukilteo because I set the ASA incorrectly on my film camera. I threw the roll in the trash when I got home, believing it was ruined. Hours later I shared my mishap with a photographer friend. He said my photo lab could salvage it by adjusting the chemical processing time. And it worked. The lighthouse was shot next to the ferry terminal in Mukilteo on another day. The sunset below was captured at Picnic Point to the south in Edmonds.
