This abandoned farm on the Waterville Plateau in north-central Washington was my favorite photography location in 2020. I visited it two or three times and posted my first images that August. These shots were captured in September 2020. Despite age and neglect the house still was a prairie jewel. At one time it had two covered porches but one side collapsed. I visited this week and was stunned as I approached the property: all the buildings – house, barn and outbuildings – had been torn down. Debris was stacked in two large piles awaiting removal. I'm sad it's gone but thankful I got out here before it disappeared.
