

Palouse wheat country in eastern Washington is linked by a network of dirt, gravel and paved roads. You could spend weeks or months traveling the backroads and not see everything. I spent three days exploring these roads in spring 2017 and found a few gems. The green barn is in Washtucna and barn below in Tekoa. Americana themes are everywhere, including the picket-fence flag. It is nailed to someone's storage unit in Benge.
