The Waterville Plateau in north-central Washington is a barn graveyard. Many have collapsed from the weight of age and neglect. But a few, like these two, are in surprisingly good shape. The abandoned farm above is located near Withrow, a wheat farming ghost town. No trespassing signs are posted so I kept my distance (I used a Mamiya 105-210 zoom). The two-story farmhouse is impressive despite its age. The barn below is located near Douglas. I wonder what memories families made living and working on this beautiful prairie. It must have been wonderful.
